(Olmsted Township) -- Police say the body of a man found floating in a retention pond a week and a half ago has been identified as Carl Edward Acoff, Jr., 20, of Cleveland.
Olmsted Township police say Acoff was identified by the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's office through a DNA match. His badly decomposed body was found in the pond on April 17 after missing since March 27. The body had been tied to a piece of concrete or to a steel pipe. He was wearing a jacket, a tank top and three bras, nothing from the waist down.

Police had little else to say about Acoff today, only saying it's an active investigation.
On April 17, dive teams were called to a retention pond behind an old nursery on MacKenzie Road, not far from Cook Road. "All I saw was a swimsuit on a body. To me, it looked like a mannequin,” said Collin Garratt, who saw the body up close.
