(Cleveland) - Kidnap victim Michelle Knight has been released from MetroHealth Medical Center.

Earlier, Knight released a statement through the hospital:

Michelle Knight is in good spirits and would like the community to know that she is extremely grateful for the outpouring of flowers and gifts. She is especially thankful for the Cleveland Courage Fund.  She asks that everyone please continue to respect her privacy at this time. 

Knight went missing in August 2002 near West 106th Street and Lorain Avenue. She was 21 at the time.

Channel 3 News is reporting that Barbara Knight, Michelle's mother, has retained a lawyer in order to try to get access to see her daughter. Michelle has asked that she not be contacted.

Knight is staying in an undisclosed location.
