(Cuyahoga County) - Cleveland Heights Police report shooting happened at 2:50 this morning, at the International House of Pancakes on Mayfield Road.

Officers responded after numerous 911 calls reporting a disturbance and possible shots fired. First responders found a female victim of a gunshot wound to the head on her back just outside of the entrance doors.

Twenty-five year old Nadia Williams of Cleveland was rushed to University Hospitals but was pronounced dead on arrival.

According to investigators, Williams and three other females were involved in an argument inside the restaurant with the security guard employed by IHOP.

The verbal altercation continued between the four females and the guard as he attempted to escort them out of the restaurant.

Detectives say at the entrance doors to the restaurant, the females and the security guard were involved in a physical altercation, with the security guard falling to the ground and his handgun discharging, with the bullet striking Williams in the head.

Three females and the security guard were brought to the Cleveland Heights Police Station for questioning as the investigation continues.
