(Cleveland)- Northeast Ohio will be bathed in green for celebrations of St. Patrick's Day.

The biggest event of the day will be the 147th annual St. Patrick's Day Parade in downtown Cleveland.

Parade organizers are expecting several hundred thousand people to brave chilly temperatures along Superior Avenue to celebrate the region's Irish heritage.

The parade is scheduled to step off shortly after 1 p.m.
