(Bedford) - Bernie Kosar has struck a plea deal in his OVI case.   The former Browns quarterback pleaded no contest to a reduced charge of reckless operation.

Charges of OVI and speeding were dismissed.  Kosar was fined $1069 and given a suspended 10 day jail sentence.

Kosar had been arrested last September in Solon allegedly doing 74 in a 50 MPH zone.

The arresting officer said Kosar, appeared to be intoxicated and said he couldn't take a field sobriety test because of football injuries.

Bernie says his concussion related speech impediment was mistaken for slurred speech.
