(Cleveland) -- Full fire department honors were given Monday to Cleveland Fire Lt. William L. Walker, who was shot dead in the driveway of his home on Sunday, Nov. 3.

Hundreds turned out for a civil service held at Cleveland Public Auditorium.  The casket was brought in on a city fire truck.  Walker's family greeted mourners before the service.

Walker was described by Cleveland Safety Director Martin Flask as "a devoted member of the Cleveland Divison of Fire for 15 years.  He was our brother in servie and a friend to many in the community."

Walker was shot outside his home on Lampson Avenue and died as a result of his injuries.  Cleveland Police are still searching for a suspect and a motive.  Anyone with information can call the homicide unit at 216-623-5464.
