(Cleveland)- With Cleveland's win in the race to host the 2016 Republican National Convention, city leaders are abandoning a bid to host the Democrats' convention.

Democratic National Committee officials were planning on visiting Cleveland next month as they choose from six candidates as the host city.

Columbus remains a finalist for the Democrats' nominating party, raising the possibility of both conventions being held in the all-important swing state of Ohio.
