(Chagrin Falls) - Investigators are trying to determine what caused a major fire at Jekyll's Kitchen. A blaze broke out at the River Street eatery around 12:30 this morning.

Assistant Fire Chief Jim Leffler says they arrived to see flames leaping into the air, and lots of heavy smoke.

He tells Newsradio WTAM 1100 it was a difficult fire to fight because of its intensity, and high voltage power lines that blocked their way inside.

Leffler says the roof of the restaurant collapsed which fueled the flames even more. Firefighters had to back out and regroup. Fortunately there was no one inside and no one was hurt.

Firefighters remain on the scene putting out hotspots, and may continue to do so for much of the day. They don't believe the blaze is suspicious but are not ruling anything out at this time.
