(North Olmsted)- North Olmsted residents are demanding answers and action after this week's heavy rains flooded hundreds of basements.

More than 500 residents packed a meeting last night to hear city officials' explanations for why they've been forced to leave water-logged possessions out for the trash.

North Olmsted officials say nearly four-and-a-half-inches of rain Monday overcame the sewer system and caused backups into residents' homes.
