(Kent)- Kent State University will pause this weekend to commemorate the 44th anniversary of the tragic end to a Vietnam War protest.

Panel discussions are scheduled on campus Saturday to reflect on the May Fourth, 1970 shootings and the evolution of political activism.

The annual candlelight vigil in the parking lot where four students were killed by National Guard troops takes place overnight into Sunday, when the commemoration ceremony starts at noon.
