(Cleveland)- Northeast Ohio is drying out after a brief, but powerful summer storm.

The National Weather Service says high winds and heavy rain battered areas along the lakeshore Sunday night, causing flash flooding in some eastern suburbs.

FirstEnergy says the storm knocked out power to more than 12-thousand customers, with work underway to restore service.
