Euclid Police say a 29-year-old North Olmsted man was arrested later in the day in connection with the shootings.

About 12:30 a.m., police received reports of a man with a rifle, then shots were heard. Euclid police then found in a car, two people on East 260th near Euclid Ave., who were shot and wounded.

Euclid police say both men were still in the hospital on Tuesday, their conditions critical but stable.

In addition, a car driving by started a four-car collision when the driver got distracted, looking at what was happening.

East 260th was closed until mid-morning as police and the state Bureau of Criminal Investigation looked at evidence at the scene.
