Hugh Jackman called in to On Air with Ryan Seacrest on Thursday morning, just one day before his latest movie, X-Men: Days of Future Past hits theaters.
Ryan brought up the point that, unlike other superheroes like Batman and Spider-Man, the actor’s Wolverine must rely solely on his real muscles.
“The only suit is my birthday one,” jokes Hugh. “It’s a good point. Then I keep thinking, I know the budgets on these movies go up, but I’m like, ‘Can you just throw some of that special effects budget my way?’ I’m an old man. Just pump me up and let me sit in the chair and drink my beer.”
As for those rumors about an Avengers crossover, Hugh clarifies … actually, he may have accidentally started the idea.
“I was asked the question, would I be interested, and I said absolutely … I would love the X-Men to fight against the Avengers, that would be great.”
X-Men: Days of Future Past is in theaters Friday!
