Upside Down Christmas Trees are Apparently a Thing Now

Now that the Christmas season is officially upon is, it's time to start thinking about decorations. Who doesn't love spending time with their family, picking out a beautiful tree, hanging it from the ceiling, and placing ornaments on its green thistles. Yes, you read that right. Some people are deciding that their over Christmas traditions of yore and are now going to celebrate the holidays by hanging their tree from the ceiling. While, logistically, this seems pretty impossible, Twitter has assured holiday-goers everywhere that it definitely is not.

Even a hotel in San Diego is bucking tradition for a more, um, updated take on the Christmas classic.

This tree is just hanging out. Get it? Hanging out? Hilarious!

Karl Lagerfield designed the following upside down tree, so, now you know it's officially ~trendy~ to do an upside tree this year.

If Lagerfield's tree is out of your price range, though, don't worry. There are more affordable options.

She makes a good point about Stranger Things. We'll just have to check in with Eleven about how they celebrate Christmas in the Upside Down.
