Woke up this morning to the news that celebrity chef, TV personality & author Anthony Bourdain had died. He was 61. Report say it was an apparent suicide.
Anthony Bourdain, the chef and gifted storyteller who took TV viewers around the world to explore culture, cuisine and the human condition for nearly two decades, has died. He was 61. https://t.co/eqFL2anGf4 pic.twitter.com/vUvIZ0QIVg— CNN (@CNN) June 8, 2018
Before moving to CNN, Anthony hosted a show for Travel Channel called "No Reservations". In 2007, he came to Cleveland to film an episode here. He visited such places as West Side Market, Sokolowski's and (curiously) Skyline Chili.
I wasn't a regular viewer of his show, but I did enjoy his feistiness and appreciated his strong opinions. Seemed to really enjoy life & adventure.
If it was suicide, I guess it just proves... You never really know.
