Prince Harry Gushes Over Baby Archie: 'I Can't Imagine Life Without Him'

The Duke Of Sussex Visits Oxford

Prince Harry stepped out on official royal business on Tuesday (May 14) and the new dad couldn't stop gushing about baby Archie. While visiting the Oxford Children's Hospital, Harry spoke with Amy Scullard from Aylesbury whose 3-year-old son Emmett is in remission after being diagnosed with testicular cancer last year. Amy was also holding her ten-week-old daughter, Ida, and the two parents immediately struck up a conversation about being new parents.

"Harry asked me if she was over the stormy period as babies are supposed to be grumpy for the first 10 weeks—and she is," Amy said. "He said he's getting used to the baby now and how Archie has fitted into family life. He said he just feels part of the family and he can't imagine life without his son."

The Duke of Sussex also spoke about his late nights with Archie. A group of local schoolchildren gifted Harry with posters and about 60 congratulatory cards. "When I'm awake at 4 o'clock in the morning I'll read all these," Harry said as he admired the handiwork of the young kids.

This is the second appearance Harry has made since welcoming little Archie into the family. After visiting the Netherlands last week to launch The Invictus Games The Hague 2020, Harry's good friend JJ Chalmers recalled how happy the new dad was. "He said it's amazing but it's hard work. He said that Archie slept for the first 24 hours like all babies do, and then he woke up," Harry's pal said. "I see the guy with a buzzing smile on his face still. Like any father he lights up even more when he speaks about his son and how proud he is of his wife and what she’s doing right now in his absence."

Prince Harry is clearly so in love with his newborn son. Congratulations again on your little bundle of joy!
