George Floyd's 6-Year-Old Daughter Gianna Says 'Daddy Changed The World'

George Floyd's 6-year-old daughter, Gianna, is well aware of the impact her father has had on the world.

While the little has not yet been told that her father was murdered by police, she was told that people from around the world are protesting in his honor.

On Tuesday (June 2), George's best friend, Stephen Jackson, shared a video of himself with Gianna on his shoulders as she said "Daddy changed the world!"

"That’s right GiGi 'Daddy changed the world' 😢😢😢😢😢," the former NBA player captioned the video. "George Floyd the name of change. #justiceforgeorgefloyd #ivehadenough Love to all who have love for all ✊🏿✊🏻✊🏾✊🏼✊🏽✊." In a second post, showing Gianna on his shoulders, Stephen added, "Don’t worry Twin on my soul I got GiGi. Know dat. I am my brothers keeper and I got a lot of brothers. #justiceforgeorgefloyd #ivehadenough Rest Easy Twin."

On Wednesday, Gianna and her mother Roxie Washington gave a heartbreaking interview on Good Morning America, where Roxie revealed that she has not told her daughter exactly how her father died.

“She doesn’t know what happened. I told her Daddy died because he couldn’t breathe,” she said.

Gianna was then asked what she wants everyone to know about her dad, to which she responded, “I miss him.”

George, an unarmed black man, was killed last week in Minneapolis after Derek Chauvin, a white police officer, kneeled on his neck for more than eight minutes while three other officers stood beside him and watched. George's murder sparked protests around the world as millions have called for justice not only in his case but also for the countless other black Americans who have been killed at the hand of police.
