I didn't expect to feel this much of a connection even though we grew up hours apart in Michigan and his lyrics hold more truth to my own story than I'd ever reveal during this interview having just met for the first time minutes before.
But that's part of the power of this "Let Me Down" hit-holder: he has no idea how much magic his music, and himself, possesses. This could very well be the most profound interview you'll hear all year thanks to his game-changing vulnerability in lyrics, but more importantly, his blunt imperfections + willingness to cautiously face everything that terrifies him and make all of "this" come true.
