The latest news getting everyone up in arms following the disappointing-at-best Superbowl is ICE's surprise detainment and possible deportation of 21 Savage , the 26-year-old artist you probably best remember from his feature on Post Malone 's "Rockstar" if you don't keep up with him as much as the true superfans.
A ton of stars have come to the rapper's defense, including Offset and Post Malone .
There's also a legit petition created by Black Lives Matter going around to help save 21 Savage from deportation which is a really amazing testament to our ability to come together over a common goal and accomplish something pretty huge, which would obviously include keeping a man here with his family, friends and career. His lawyers have wasted no time fighting for his cause, stating it was no fault of his own that his parents' work visa expired in 2006 leaving him vulnerable to this for quite some time. Wanna get involved and help the cause? Sign the petition here ! My signature has just been added.
As Rolling Stone reported : " Whether he was born in Atlanta or not, Savage has spent the majority of his life devoted to the city. He has documented cycles of poverty, glorified the violence he saw and later enacted, revealed the ways he remains haunted by his upbringing and reinvested in his community. His music has connected with an audience, regardless of his birthplace."
