Tori Spelling & Jennie Garth Reveal Which Of Them Was Asked To Join 'RHOBH'

Celebrities Visit Build - August 5, 2019

Tori Spelling was "really sad" she didn't receive the same invite as her friend Jennie Garth to join The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

The 90210 besties dished all about it during Monday's (August 5) guest appearance on Jenny McCarthy's radio show as they discussed Denise Richards' recent cameo appearance on the Bravo series. Apparently, Spelling, a big fan of the show, admitted she's "never" been asked to be a part of the 2010 series — and that's when her good gal pal, Garth, spilled the tea about how she was once approached to join the cast.

“I was like, ‘I’m the furthest thing from a desperate housewife,’” the 47-year-old actress told McCarthy and Spelling, before asking, “Is it Desperate Housewives?” — which was quickly clarified.

Moving on, Spelling expressed her surprise and disappointment at not being pitched a part on RHOBH. Given she's been familiar with reality television ever since her show Tori & Dean Inn Love premiered in 2006, the 46-year-old expressed gave the perfect proposal for why she'd make a great addition to the show: “I was born in Beverly Hills, so I have one thing going for me. I’m married with a lot of kids, drama follows me everywhere, they’ve never asked me!”

“Imagine if you had done that show? I just can’t picture — what would you do? Imagine you having to cat fight with all of those women?” Spelling later told her former co-star, to which Garth tersely concurred, admitting that "[reality television is] not my jam."
