First Photo From 'You' Season 3 Teases A New Setting For Joe Goldberg

Netflix’s next season of ‘You’ might feel a little close to home for some. According to Dylan Kickham at Elite Daily, the first photo from ‘You’ Season 3 teases the new bold direction for the show, which will now take place in Suburbia rather than the big city.

Netflix only officially picked up ‘You’ for its third season less than a month ago, but they have already begun to work on the highly anticipated new string of episodes.

Sera Gamble, one of the masterminds behind ‘You,’ confirmed that production on the new season had begun by tweeting out an extra-special on Friday, February 7th. Although the photo does not show Joe, Love, or any other characters, it gives us a hint about what to expect from the upcoming season. The photo focuses on a doormat with Joe’s signature catchphrase: “Hello, you,” printed on it. While it may not actually appear in the season, it does seem to confirm that Season 3 is ditching the big city scenery and focusing on life in the suburbs.

As you know if you’ve watched Season 2, Joe and Love moved out of Los Angeles to a suburban area to prepare for their first child, and the doormat Gamble tweeted seems to confirm that the new season will take place primarily in the suburbs.

Season 2 wrapped with Joe and Love moving into their new home in the suburbs, which makes this photo no surprise for fans of the series. However, one big mystery remains as to who Love and Joe’s new neighbor is, and why she has seemingly already become one of Joe’s newest obsessions.

‘You’ Season 3 is expected to premiere on Netflix sometime in 2021, with fans of the series hoping that date arrives sooner. It looks like fans have a while to wait for answers to these questions.
