#GoodNews: Strangers On TikTok Help User Detect Skin Cancer

Millions of users show off their dance moves and lip-syncing skills on TikTok, but now the video-sharing social network may have helped save someone’s life.

Alex Griswold shared a video about married life and showed his back in it, with a couple moles on it. And two total strangers reached out to him to warn of a possible sign of skin cancer.

Lizzie Wells was one of the helpful strangers and being a melanoma survivor herself, she felt the need to contact Griswold about the danger. She’s also studying to become a doctor, so he listened to her and went to the dermatologist, where his irregular mole was removed.

Griswold has thanked his tipsters in a video and says them reaching out “is the perfect reminder that the world is a wonderful place.”
