Nose Grown On Woman’s Arm Transplanted To Her Face

After losing a large part of her nose during treatment for cancer, a woman in France grew a new nose on her arm. A custom nose that was 3D printed from biomaterial to replace cartilage grew on her arm for two months before doctors transplanted it to her face.

Medics told the press that “After 10 days of hospitalization and three weeks of antibiotics, the patient is doing very well.” This type of procedure had never been performed on “such a fragile and poorly vascularized area,” according to the team.
