Balloon Ride Into Space Launching In 2024 For $125K Per Ticket

Interested in going to space on a balloon? Florida firm Space Perspective is working on it. The company has bought a 292-foot-long shipping vessel from a shipbuilding company in LA that it plans to turn into a “marine spaceport” for football stadium-sized space balloons.

The company its first customer flights in 2024 and then another one in 2025 for a price of $125k per seat. The company’s Space Neptune capsules will be taken to around 19 miles above the surface of the Earth during a six-hour trip, with up to eight passengers each time.
