Japan Now Selling Bear Meat In Vending Machines

If you’re on a quest to find the most unique vending machine treat of all time, you might need to head on over to Japan. The city of Semboku is now stocking many of its machines with locally-sourced bear meat from the community. Customers can choose between fatty and lean cuts for around $17 a pop.

There seems to be a limited supply of the succulent snack as the government caps the number of black bears that can be hunted at 12% of their population. However, if you want to continue down the adventurous path, some Japanese vending machines also offer canned snails, insects, and whale meat.
