In Somalia, a woman had to go through an emergency surgical procedure after an errant bullet managed to lodge itself into her clitoris. The story was published in the “International Journal of Surgery Case Reports,” and the authors say this might be the first-ever case of its kind. Reportedly, the 24-year-old woman was enjoying some time at home, when the bullet came down through the ceiling and struck her. At the hospital, surgeons were able to put her until local anesthesia and remove the bullet…though it hasn’t been confirmed if the surgeon was male, and, if so, how many female assistants needed to be on-hand to help him find the clitoris. The woman is now said to be recuperating nicely.
