While on the Hinge dating app, 36-year-old Lauren Kempton decided, half-joking, that the guys who wanted to date her needed to up their game. So, she posted that she would be requiring potential suitors to write a 500-word essay to get her attention. For the most part, guys gave her a big “hell no…I’m not doing that,” but one guy took the challenge. Not only did this dude write the essay, but he also provided a slide presentation espousing the benefits of dating him. Needless to say, Lauren was blown away by the effort and accepted the date. It didn’t end up being “true love,” but at least she got a good story out of it.
