There’s a lot to love about summer and the warm weather that comes with it, but we could do without all the mosquitos the season brings. Their bites can be annoying, and enough to keep you from having fun outside. While those pests seem to be everywhere, it turns out, they’re a bigger issue in some places than others.
- Orkin’s annual list of the Top 50 Mosquito Cities has just come out for 2023.
- The ranking is based on data from the metro areas where Orkin did the most mosquito control services from April 1st, 2022 to March 31st, 2023.
- For the third year in a row, Los Angeles tops the list.
- Chicago is number two, followed by New York City.
- Atlanta has moved up two spots to come in fourth, while Dallas/Fort Worth moves up one spot to number five.
- Charlotte, North Carolina, is in the top 10 for the first time after moving up eight spots
- Joining the top 50 for the first time are Oklahoma City, Austin (Texas), Spokane (Washington), Bakersfield (California) and Fresno (California).
