Road workers in Poland accidentally dug up something that was uber-levels of creepy. A “mass grave” containing the skeletons of hundreds of “suspected vampires” was what was beneath the soil they were digging up for the new road. In some cases, the skulls had “coins placed in their mouths, which was believe at the time to be a way to “lift the vampire curse after death.” Other bodies had been completely decapitated, presumably because you can’t get bitten by something with no head.
