Wanna look younger, bro? There’s a tox for that. The latest trend among some men is “Brotox,” where men get Botox treatments to tighten up their faces. While men didn’t just start receiving the injections, doctors say there’s been a noticeable increase in male patients in recent years. Over 265,000 men got Botox injections in 2020, which is a 182% increase over twenty years ago.
The idea has gone viral on TikTok, with over 17 million views for the hashtag #brotox, and several male influencers showing off their freshly-tightened face in videos. Doctors say the number of men getting Botox has been quietly growing for years, but social media is just now calling attention to it.
