National Cinema Day is set to take place this Sunday. To celebrate the movies, over 3,000 theaters will be selling tickets that day for just $4!
Last year’s Cinema Day saw tickets cost just $3, so it looks like inflation can even come for special events. Still, its a pretty good deal, especially if it gets you or the family out of the summer heat. Last year’s celebration was the highest-attended day at the movies of 2022, with 8.1 million people deciding to check out a movie.
There will apparently be new and old movies hitting the theaters this Sunday, by the way. While you can check out new releases like “Gran Turismo,” “Jurassic Park” in 3D and “Lady Bird” will also be at some theaters, among other hits like “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem” and “Oppenheimer.” If you haven’t seen “Barbie” yet, you’re running out of excuses!
Other movies to pick from include:
- Sound of Freedom
- The Super Mario Bros.
- Disney’s The Little Mermaid Sing-Along
- Haunted Mansion
- Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny
- Elemental
- American Graffiti
