Canadian Traveler Discovers Austrian Hostel Located Inside Ikea

DIY furniture, Swedish meatballs, and temporary housing…A world traveler has posted her surprising stay in Austria after finding out her hostel in Vienna was located inside an Ikea. TikToker Jess Braun posted a short clip of her experience featuring the multi-level furniture chain, which is on the two upper levels of the store.

Braun says she likes that the hostel is right above Ikea’s food court and that there’s even “a beer garden on our 1800 square meter roof terrace on the 7th floor with bars in converted shipping containers.” So, what will a night at this fine establishment set you back? It costs travelers anywhere from $53 a night for a bed in a dorm to $640 a night for a private bedroom that sleeps 10.
