An ex-Taco Bell employee from the Los Angeles area is suing her former employer and manager. Last year, Alana Bechiom was invited to a Christmas party by her work supervisor, where she was encouraged to bring food for a pot-luck-style buffet (she brough guacamole, incidentally). When she arrived at the restaurant, where the party was being held, she saw that the windows of the Taco Bell had been covered with wrapping paper and the cameras inside the restaurant had been covered. In addition, alcohol was served, Bechiom claims that many were “overserved,” and eventually she allegedly saw a coworker and his wife having sex right there in front of everyone. In addition, that wife….while in the act of having her own taco filled…was “kissing her female manager and another woman.”
- Bechiom says she reported it all to human resources and people were fired
- Afterward, however, Bechiom claims she was “threatened” and her car window was “shattered”
- Rather than address the threats, Bechiom says the company simply transferred her to another store, and she eventually quit
- She’s now seeking compensation for “actual, consequential, and incidental financial losses”…and accuses Taco Bell of “violating anti-discrimination laws”
