*LIST* The Best (And Worst) Cities For Singles

Even in the era of online dating, trying to find love can be challenging. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, 47% of U.S. adults are unmarried (either never married, divorced or widowed), but 57% of single adults aren’t looking for a relationship or even casual dating right now. Of course, where you live can make a big difference in your love life and a new report reveals the cities that may help your chance of success.

  • WalletHub’s list of the Best and Worst Cities for Singles in 2024 has just come out.
  • They compared 182 U.S. cities on 35 key indicators of dating-friendliness in three main categories: Economics, Fun & Recreation and Dating Opportunities.
  • They rated the cities on factors including the cost of a restaurant meal for two, the average price of a haircut and the nightlife options per capita.
  • The best city for singles in 2024 is Seattle, Washington, which comes in third for dating opportunities, fifth for fun & recreation, but 174th for economics.
  • Las Vegas, second overall, is number one for fun & recreation, while Juneau, Alaska, 14th overall, is first for dating opportunities, and Fargo, North Dakota, 24th overall, is first for economics.
  • On the flip side, next year’s worst city for singles is Columbia, Maryland.
