There are some things that every bachelor is familiar with…for better or for worse. One of those things is the “yellow pillow.” This is the pillow that you’ve had entirely too long and is now stained and discolored from years of sweat, moisture, drool, and whatever else…but it’s comfortable and you see no reason to part with it. Mattress and sleep expert Celeste Parker has this advice concerning what to do with that dingy pillow. If it has “minimal yellow stains, keeps your head and neck aligned, and feels good…it’s probably fine to sleep on.” When it “can’t support your head, smells like sweat or mildew (even after being cleaned), or mostly loses its original color”…it’s time to make a clean break and get a new one.
