The Devil isn't the only one that wears Prada. Axiom Space, a Houston-based company that arranges missions for "private and national astronauts," announced this week that it has partnered with Prada to create the Axiom Extravehicular Mobility Unit (AxEMU) spacesuit, which will be used for NASA’s Artemis III mission. Style and function. The spacesuit is white with streaks of gray and red, and has biometric monitoring, custom-made gloves and boots made to "withstand lunar temperatures and rough terrain." It also features a helmet and visor to "enhance the astronauts' view of their surroundings," along with an HD camera, lights and advanced 4G/LTE communication. Artemis III is scheduled to launch in 2026 and "will mark humanity’s first return to the lunar surface in more than 50 years," according to NASA, and the mission will be the first time humans explore the moon’s South Pole.
