If you have never heard about the infamous Ten Cent Beer Night, it is one of the most memorable sports moments in Cleveland history. Nickel beer night got its start in 1971 and the promotion went well for Cleveland Municipal Stadium. So well in fact, that they decided they would give ten cent beer night a try.

They wanted to attract fans to the stadium by offering cups of low-alcohol beer for just 10 cents. They did have a limit of 6 beers per purchase but you could purchase as many times as you wanted during the game. At the time beers cost 65 cents so this was a significant difference. As, you can imagine this did not go well as fans were extremely inebriated and caused a ruckus in the streets and even on the field.

Collision Bend Brewing Company wants to commemorate the 48th anniversary of this chaotic evening with their very own, Ten Cent Beer Night!

The brewery is located on the East Bank of the Flats and will offer its Hope Flows Kolsch beer for 10 cents a glass for 48 minutes on Saturday, June 4th. The special runs from 3 p.m. to 3:48 p.m. with a limit of two 12-once beers per customer. Please enjoy safely!
