You’ve heard of a school being burglarized, but this may be the first time an entire school was stolen. Uitzig Secondary School in Cape Town, Africa, moved its 100 students to a new facility, and within six months every single brick, window, toilet, plumbing, and even the roof tiles were gone. The only thing the thieves left behind at the old school location was the concrete classroom floors. A former janitor at the school claims that “drug gangs” sold the pieces of the school they stole; an Education Department spokesman confirmed that the school was closed due to “gangsterism and vandalism.”
