If you’re a fan of gummy bears, you’re no doubt familiar with Haribo. After a visit to his mother’s, a German man by the name of Anouar G. was standing on a train platform where he saw what looked like a check floating around. Anouar was able to nab it and found that it was a check worth almost $4.8-million, made out to the candy manufacturer. After contacting Haribo, a lawyer advised him to “destroy the check and send photographic proof that he’d done it.” A few days later, Anouar received a box in the mail from Haribo…containing six bags of gummies. Haribo says it’s their “standard thank you” package, but it seems a little cheap in this case.
