Around 500 pounds of cooked pasta was found dumped near a New Jersey stream recently. Nina Jochnowitz, who had previously run for council in the township of Old Bridge, was told by a concerned citizen that the mound of noodles was near her property.

The pics she snapped for social media show a 25-foot-wide mountain of cooked ziti, spaghetti, and elbow macaroni lying limp in the forest. Though it’s unclear how long the mystery mess had been out there, Joochnowitz says the DPW finally cleaned it up after she publicly shamed the city. As for the pasta bandit, no suspects have been identified and there’s no word on whether or not the police are looking into it.
