Some things should go without saying…like don’t go fishing with a pistol. Earlier this month, the Kansas Wildlife & Parks Department posted a reminder to anglers that firearms aren’t the correct method if you’re trying to catch fish. The game warden of Finney County confiscated a 9mm handgun that was being used as opposed to the generally accepted “fishing pole and line, trotlines, set lines, gig, crossbow, or bow and arrow.” Bullets from the gun can ricochet off the surface of the water or off of something just below the surface.
