Texas Roadhouse is considered America's fastest-growing restaurant chain known for meats that are hand-cut, fresh-baked rolls, oversized cocktails and a line-dancing wait staff that is family-friendly. Their menu contains all of the items that you would expect at a steakhouse, but they also have some secret menu items that you may not know about. Here are five of the best secret items but note that some may not be available at all locations so check with your server before you order.
- Pulled Pork Cactus Blossom – the regular Cactus Blossom is a “Texas-sized, golden-fried onion” served with a Cajun dipping sauce but TikToker @pimpvanillaslim posted an upgrade to add pulled pork on top of the onion. It’s the same meat that’s served on their Pulled Pork Sandwich and you can add barbecue sauce as well to complement the new secret item.
- Smothered Blossom with Jack Cheese – another TikToker, @kirkwoodtexasroadhouse has another twist on the Cactus Blossom which adds melted Jack Cheese on top of the onion to spice things up. Other commenters said that you can add pretty much anything else including jalapeños and chiles if you want to add some heat and another said “Loaded Blossom was something we pushed at my store” so your server may already know about these secret additions.
- Kids Grilled Cheese – Texas Roadhouse has an excellent menu for kids but a classic grilled cheese is missing. TikToker @pimpvanillaslim posted that your server should be able to ring up a grilled cheese as a secret item for your kid and if you or other adults want one as well it goes for only $5.49. Ask your server if it’s available at your location.
- Ice Cream – the regular Texas Roadhouse menu includes dessert favorites like Granny’s Apple Classic, Big Ol’ Brownie and Strawberry Cheesecake but ice cream by itself is not there. It’s available as a secret item according to @pimpvanillaslim for $2.99 and should be available for your server to ring up.
- Steak Sliders – this secret item might be considered a “hack” because it involves using fresh-baked rolls and adding your meat of choice to make sliders. The Texas Roadhouse dinner rolls are said to be among the best bread at any U.S. restaurant chain and they make a perfect bun for any slider.
