Indian police say that over 1,500 pounds of marijuana is gone from their storage, and they say that rats are to blame. Authorities say the marijuana, valued at around $500,000, was booked as criminal evidence. The police superintendent denies there are any rats near the evidence lockers, and says that the official report says “the seized cannabis was destroyed in the rains and flooding.” No charges are planned for the rodents, because as one member of the local authorities said, “they aren’t scared of the police.”
