OnlyFans may be a fairly new platform, but it’s an incredibly popular one. The site, which allows people to produce and post sexually-explicit content, has more than 170-million users, according to TechJury.net. That’s more than half the population of the U.S.!
But new research reveals that there are benefits to being an OnlyFans user, besides entertainment, that is. According to a new study from California State University, using the platform can actually make you “smarter” and more educated in the bedroom.
Researchers surveyed 425 OnlyFans users, both male and female, with an average age of 37, about their sex lives since using the site. And the study finds:
- Most users say the site has encouraged them to expand their horizons in the bedroom.
- 41% say it inspired them to try something new, like using toys or producing their own content.
- Some users say OnlyFans has helped them improve sexual function and to be more open and adventurous when it comes to sex.
- Respondents also report learning more about their own personal sexual preferences.
- Since OnlyFans is still relatively new, researchers say they’re just scratching the surface in terms of benefits and that more research needs to be done.
