Valerie Do is a 19-year-old woman from Vietnam who was thrilled to learn she’d been accepted by a college in Miami. Unfortunately, she didn’t realize she’d applied to Miami University in Ohio…and not the one she was expecting in Florida. She’d been called out by some for not doing enough research into the school before applying to it, but she now says it all “worked out for the best” even though the beaches were replaced by cornfields.
