Cara Delevingne’s home in Studio City, California went up in flames on Friday morning. The fire department confirmed that one person, who was not identified, suffered from minor smoke inhalation. Cara was not at home during the time, as she was performing in ”Cabaret” at the Playhouse Theatre in London.
The home, worth a reported $7-million, was heavily damaged, and the roof collapsed. The actress thanked those who responded to the emergency in a post on her Instagram Stories. "Thank you from the bottom of my heart to the firefighters and people that have showed up to help," she shared. She also confirmed that her two cats were alive.
It took 94 firefighters more than two hours to put out the fire. There is currently an investigation to confirm the cause of the fire. Cara’s parents, meanwhile, said that the fire was caused by a powerline that went haywire due to windy conditions near her home.
