Ohio Woman Is Trying To Visit All Seven Continents At 94

Staying active keeps you young, and no one has to tell Joy Ryan of Duncan Falls, Ohio. Ryan is setting out to visit all seven continents on Earth at the age of 94 with the help of her grandson Brad Ryan. She commented to Brad that she had never seen a mountain, so her grandson decided to make sure she got to see the world. On a trip to the Smokey Mountains, Joy not only saw her first mountain but climbed one…at 85.

Joy made headlines last year for becoming the oldest person to visit all 63 US National Parks, and just got back from Chile and the Galapagos Islands. Talking to Fox News Digital, Joy said “When you get to a certain age, everybody starts saying, ‘Oh, you can’t do that. You’re too old to do that kind of thing.’” Her advice on dealing with those kinds of comments? “Just tell them to jump in the river and be positive. Give it a try. If you don’t try, the next day you’ll regret it.”
