For some partners, the number of partners they’ve had sex with is a highly guarded secret, but new research has the answers. Data from World Population Review reveals the average number of sexual partners of different countries around the world and which ones are the most promiscuous.

  • According to their data, the global average is nine sexual partners during someone’s lifetime, but that number varies greatly from country to country.
  • So which country has the most sex? It turns out, Turkey is the most promiscuous on the planet, as the average Turkish person has slept with more than 14 people.
  • That may be surprising, since 99% of the country’s residents are Muslim and Turkey is thought to have more traditional views about sex and relationships.
  • But it’s not the only surprise on the list. Countries that are considered more liberal about sex, like Brazil and France, aren’t high on the list. France is number 29, with its citizens having slept with an average of 8.1 people, while Brazil is 25th, and its citizens have had sex with 9 people, on average.
  • The U.S. comes in 13th, with Americans having slept with an average of 10.7 people.
  • We’re actually tied with Canada, which has the exact same stat.
  • The least promiscuous countries are China, where people have slept with 3.1 partners, and India, with 3.0.
