“To Recline Or Not To Recline” Debate Might Be Solved For All Of Us

For years, the recline-or-don’t-recline debate has divided airline passengers. Now, it appears that debate could be on its way to being resolved…and you’ll have nothing to say about it. Southwest Airlines has recently debuted its 2025 “more streamlined seat design”…and the reclining option is gone. This follows a trend that’s already been started by airlines like Delta, United, and American. Lighter seats that don’t recline “require fewer mechanical parts,” which saves money on maintenance and makes the weight of the plane lighter, saving on jet fuel.
