While English is the official language of the U.S., it definitely doesn’t all sound the same when people in different parts of the country speak it. There are nearly as many different accents and dialects as there are states and some are more appealing than others. A new list from Big 7 and Enjoy Travel ranks the sexiest - and least sexy accents in the U.S.
- So which accent is the sexiest? That honor goes to Texas, after all, who can resist that slow, southern drawl?
- Described as a “Southern accent with a twist,” Texans are known for speaking with strong “r’s and plenty of Howdys.”
- One of the accents that gets parodied the most comes in second, the Bostonian accent. It seems people really like the way folks in Boston say, “pahk yuh cahr in hahvuhd yahd.”
- On the flip side, the least sexy U.S. accent is that of the Long Islander. Sorry for all those people from “Lawnguyland,” but someone has to come in last.
- New Jersey has the second least sexy accent, followed by Minnesota.
